We take flying our puppies very seriously and take every precaution to see to it that traveling is safe for them. We also strive to make flying a simple and easy process for you, the customer. All transportation cost are the responsiblity of the purchaser.
Once we receive a deposit or full payment for a puppy, we will create the booking. We use Airbound Pets or Ozark Jet-A-Pet Courier Service to transport the puppies to the airport. Our puppies fly out of St. Louis or Kansas City and are most often flown via Delta or American Airlines. They both do an amazing job for us and take extra special care of all of our babies. MOST FLIGHTS ARE SCHEDULED ON WEDNESDAYS OR FRIDAYS AS THIS IS WHEN THE PETSAFE PROGRAM OPERATES UNLESS THERE MIGHT BE WEATHER ISSUES. THE PUPPIES LEAVE US EARLY IN THE MORNING AND ARE TO MOST LOCATIONS BY NOON OR EARLIER.
Flights (and Health certificate) is an additional $350 unless we have to use Alaskan Air or United and then it is $375. Alternative airports may be necessary in certain areas. We won’t know until the actual flight is booked. Those are usually done on The Friday or Monday before your Friday flight. This price includes the flight and the kennel your puppy will fly in. The kennel is yours to keep and will be big enough for the puppy to begin crate training during the night. The Puppy must be paid for once you receive the flight confirmation since that is when we pay for the flight! ONCE WE PAY FOR THE FLIGHT IT IS NON REFUNDABLE SO PLEASE MAKE SURE THE TIMES PROVIDED WORK WITH YOUR SCHEDULE.
All of the paperwork will be attached to the kennel in a clear plastic bag. *PLEASE DO NOT THROW AWAY* The bag will contain a health certificate, vaccination/deworming records, registration papers, and microchip paperwork.
We usually receive your flight information back 5 days before your puppy is to fly. We will send it to you via an email, text, or messenger. Please respond back letting us know you received it. It will contain information on where to pick your puppy up as well as a tracking number. if you still aren't sure, please contact your airport for additional information. You will need your picture I.D. and we also recommend taking a copy of the flight information when you pick up your puppy from the airport.
It doesn't happen very often, but your flight could be postponed due to mechanic issues or extreme temperatures. Then the puppy would fly out to the following week. Most often, these changes occur prior to the puppy leaving us and you will be notified immediately.
TRANSPORTING TO THE ST. LOUIS AIRPORT - IF YOU LIVE IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA OR SURROUNDING AREAS, WE CAN TRANSPORT YOUR BABY TO THE AIRPORT ON TUESDAYS FOR A PICK UP TIME BETWEEN 6:30 AND 7:30 PM. THE COST FOR THIS SERVICE IS $65 AND THAT INCLUDES A REALLY NICE CRATE THAT YOU GET TO KEEP!
