Transportation Information

At Josie’s Joys Yorkies, we offer both ground transportation and flight options to help safely bring your new baby home.

Ground Transportation

Our trusted ground transporter delivers directly to your door for most areas of the United States.

  • Standard delivery fee: $400
  • Delivery fee for the following states: $500
    • Washington
    • Oregon
    • Wyoming
    • Idaho
    • Utah
    • Montana
    • North Dakota
    • South Dakota

Please note: deliveries to these states are only available during the months of April through November.

The transporter travels on a scheduled route, so families must be flexible with delivery dates and times. Delivery runs are typically offered on the:

  • 2nd
  • 15th
  • 25th

You will receive 360 tracking updates during transport so you can follow your puppy’s journey home.

A health certificate is required for ground travel, so transportation arrangements must be made in advance. Our transporter has safely delivered many Josie’s Joys babies over the years and takes excellent care of them throughout the trip.

For safety purposes, a valid photo ID will be required at delivery before your puppy can be released to you.

Flying 

We take flying our puppies very seriously and take every precaution to see to it that traveling is safe for them. We also strive to make flying a simple and easy process for you, the customer. All transportation cost are the responsiblity of the purchaser. We must know 2 weeks before the puppy is 8 weeks old that you are wanting your baby flown! The health certificateu are different plus we need to request the flight to ensure a place on the plane. 

Flight Transportation

Flight transportation, including your puppy’s travel kennel, is typically $400. If we must use Alaska Airlines or United Airlines, the cost is $475. (The only time I have had to use Alaskan is to Seattle)

In some areas, an alternative airport may be required depending on available flight options. We will not know final flight details until the reservation is booked.

The transportation fee includes:

  • Your puppy’s airline ticket
  • An airline-approved kennel

The kennel is yours to keep and is large enough to help begin nighttime crate training once your puppy arrives home.

Your puppy must be paid in full before flight arrangements can be made. Please note that once flights are booked and paid for, transportation fees are non-refundable.

Once your puppy’s flight is confirmed, we will send you the flight information, including the flight number and arrival time.

A valid photo ID will be required when picking up your puppy at the airport.

We fly through America’s PetSafe Program with Airbound Pets to help ensure your baby travels safely and comfortably.
